Our 5 Picks For A Mountain Wedding or Celebration

Are you looking for a place to celebrate this Summer?

Do you have a niece that’s getting married or a big anniversary that needs celebrating?

Personally, I’m in the market for a venue to celebrate a big birthday that rhymes with “Morty.”

This year we’re adding more events to our roster. In addition to delivering daily beauty, I’m diving deep into design work and using flowers to help set the celebratory mood, and create elegant and intentional events. I’m taking this “extended winter” to study with some of my favorite floral designers so that I can bring something spectacular to Plumas County. We’re already growing gorgeous flowers, so I’m taking the time, and learning how to make them sing. I can’t wait to share the product with you!

As we’re swimming in this “atmospheric river”, take a minute to dream up something worth celebrating this year! Below is a list of five great places in our gorgeous county to do it!

The Corner Barn in Graeagle is perfect for a multi-day large wedding

Invite all your friends to come celebrate and create a weekend of memories. The rental is for 3 days so you can set up a multi-day event. It includes lots of amenities plus is just a stone's throw from the town of Graeagle which has endless charm and plenty of activities for all!

Kinship Ranch is an unforgettable venue offering a unique ranch experience for your Wedding Day
Picture Perfect at Kinship Ranch.

This idyllic working ranch boasts views, pastures, ponds, and wonderful hosts. The view is surreal. You'll fall in love as you watch grazing cows, and the frolicking goats will put an easy smile on everyone’s face. This outdoor venue will have your boots stompin' as you dance under the stars creating unforgettable memories full of laughter and fun.

Though just outside the Plumas county lines, we have to include them! This gem is nestled in the heart of Lassen National Forest where wildflowers and star gazing abound.

Mill Creek Resort for Weddings and elopements
The wildflower filled-meadow at Mill Creek Resort

You can stay in cute vintage cabins, retro camp trailers, and canvas glamping tents. Their sun-filled meadow captures natural magic for the wild at heart. This is a place to slow down with family and friends, while being lost in the beauty of the woods.

This venue is up and coming and we're so excited about them! If you're looking for a private, elegant, garden setting they're your location! You'll experience a taste of all the goodness the mountains can offer because they love using exceptional local vendors. You'll be warmed by their romantic lighting and elegant farmhouse decor. They can accommodate your party up to 125 and are located in Chester, close to Lake Almanor and Mt. Lassen. They're booking this season for 2024, so plan ahead!

Taylorsville Campground and Taylorsville Historic Hall create a duo for a Mountain Wedding
Taylorsville Campground is an outdoor lover's dream

Finally, close to home (and my heart), a setting for the dreamers with a touch of twang.

The Taylorsville Campground is a must in the summertime. With lots of shade, a grassy gathering area for games, and Indian creek steps away, it has everything an adventurous celebration could want. Just down the street, the Taylorsville Historic Hall literally rocks. It still features a bouncing dance floor which was originally built on buggy springs and is indescribably fun. The hall is perfect for any reception, there is laughter to be had and memories made.

I hope you've been inspired to move ahead with your swanky soiree, or book a campsite for an outdoor adventure wedding!

Even though we're currently counting the days until Spring as we shovel and get sand bags ready, we know we'll have a lusciously green Summer. Take these extra "inside days" to plan something fabulous.
